The Tryon Women's Golf Association officially ended
the season on Tuesday, October 27th, with their closing luncheon/meeting, which
included the election of officers for 2010. Newly elected are Nancy
Hiley, President; Sheila Umlauf, Vice President; Joyce Lamb, Secretary; and
Joyce Atkins, Treasurer.
The clubhouse was festively decorated for fall with beautiful flower arrangements. Co-Chairing this special luncheon were Marie Foster and Joyce Arledge, ably assisted by Claire Conrad, Peggy Henson, Margaret Wheat and Patsy Baker Hanskat. Sheila Umlauf served as Prize Chairman, and prizes for 2009 were awarded as follows:

Although the season has officially ended, please
keep in mind that a two-week Match Play event will be held on November 3 and
10 - Best Net of Twosome. Please arrive at the club by 9:30 a.m. for
the drawing of partners. Play will begin at 10 a.m. Also,
Thursday, November 5th, at a new time of 2 p.m. is the rain date for the Fall
Guys and Dolls Tournament. Please sign up at the Pro Shop or call 859-9561
for further information about all events.
