Stenzel wins TCC women's championship

Congratulations to Linda Stenzel for winning the 2009 Tryon Country Club 2-day Women's Club Championship.

Linda had a score of 90/88 for a total of 178 over the two days.  Runner-up was Becky Walker with a score of 95/97 for a total of 192.  Linda completes the Polk County "Grand Slam" as she is also the champion at Bright's Creek.
 
Jane Templeton won the Women's Senior Championship for the second year in a row with a score of 97/96 for a total of 193.  Marie Foster was runner-up with a score of 101/106 for a total of 207.
 
In the 9-hole division, Joyce Lamb was first with a two-day score of 60/60 totaling 120.  Parky Flanagan was runner-up with a score of 69/58 totaling 127.
 
On September 15, the TWGA Event for the Day was a Stableford Points competition and Low Putts.  The results are as follows:
18-hole Group
1st: Becky Walker (39 points)
2nd: Claire Conrad (36 points)
Low Putts:  Becky Walker, 26
 
9-hole Group
1st: Joyce Lamb (24 points)
2nd: Lib McKeller (19 points)
Low Putts:  Dee White, 14
