Annual Flag Day tourney for TWGA

On Tuesday, June 30, the Tryon Women's Golf Association held its annual Nine-Hole Flag Day Tournament.  Nine people exceeded their expectations, and of the nine, Parky Flanagan advanced the furthest, followed by Elaine Riley.

Golf was followed by lunch and the monthly business meeting.  Hostesses for the day were Kathy Bartlett, Chair;  Jane Templeton, Barbara Belthoff and Christine Mariotti.
 
State Play Day is the event for July 7.  Reminder that the first tee time will be at 8 a.m. for the 18-holers  with an 8:30 a.m. Shotgun start for 9-hole play.  Please be sure to call Golf Pro Marc Brady at 859-9561 or sign up at the Pro Shop.
 
The Inter-Club League, Chicks with Sticks, will be playing on Monday, July 6, at Crooked Creek Golf Club with a 9:30 a.m. Shotgun start. Anyone interested in joining the group, please call Jane Templeton at 859-5190 for further information.
