TWGA holds 'Rally For A Cure' tourney

On June 2nd, the Tryon Country Club held their 11th "Rally for A Cure" tournament with 24 members of the TWGA participating in the 9-hole event.

Congratulations to Vicki Wood, who won the Closest to the Pin prize (a golf bag) with a great drive of 26 inches on the 9th hole. Also landing on the green were Kathy Bartlett and Sheila Umlauf.

Barbara Manning had low net for the day with a 34 and Margaret Wheat was second with a net 35.  The TWGA appreciates Peggy Woodward's efforts in organizing this event each year  to help raise funds for the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

On Tuesday, June 9th, the Event for the Day will be a Match Play tournament with a partner of your own choosing.  On June 16th the event will be the annual Member /Guest 18-hole event  which is open to all members (9-hole and 18-hole).  Please be sure to sign up at the Pro Shop or call 859-9561.
