TWGA Play Day results for July 1

The Tryon Women's Golf Association held two events on Tuesday, July 1.  The first event was Low Net forboth 18 and 9 holers.  The results are as follows:
 
18 holes
First place: Peggy Woodward with a net 67
Second place: Jane Templeton with a net 68
                

9 holes
First place: Mary Martlock, with a net 36
Second place: Joyce Lamb, Joann Hoffman tied with a net 30
 
The second event was  "Plant the Flag" which the players did when they had reached par plus their individual handicap.  The winners of this event (actually playing almost 20 holes) and just inches apart were, again, Peggy Woodward (first) and  Jane Templeton (second).
